Day 1 Highlights:

Registration

Opening Ceremony  and Welcome Social

  • Participants will meet and greet the fellow delegates and their Harvard peers, and have the chance to hear from a diverse array of keynote speakers in the field of academia and entrepreneurship

Day 2 Highlights:

Workshop Rotations

  • Participants will attend workshops led by Harvard Business School students
  • Topics will range from challenges of entrepreneurship, presentation, image branding, etc.
  • Workshops will help participants further refine their final presentation

Dinner at Harvard Square 

  • Participants will have a chance to satisfy their culinary desires at one of 90+ restaurants that Harvard Square has to offer

Mixer with HAUSCR Associates

  • Participants will have a chance to speak with Harvard undergraduates interested in social entrepreneurship and cross-cultural connections. There will also be team-bonding activities for participants to get to know Harvard students better

Day 3 Highlights:

Social Entrepreneurship Presentation

  • Participants will get to listen to leading social entrepreneurs and their up-and-coming ventures

TEDTalks with Social Entrepreneurs

  • Participants will hear some engaging presentations and speeches about the field of entrepreneurship and what it takes to succeed in the space

Networking with Harvard Social Entrepreneurs

  • Participants will have a chance to network with like-minded individuals in the field of entrepreneurship and academia in a relaxed setting, and participate in team bonding activities that facilitates cross-cultural exchange

Day 4 Highlights:

Social Enterprise Conference

  • Participants will showcase ideas and trends within social enterprise to encourage better solutions to the world’s problem while connecting with others passionate about social enterprise, within and across disciplines and professions
  • Professionals from various business industries will discuss their own experiences in particular industries, offering students an inside perspective
  • Participants will have time to personally meet and network with renowned speakers and experts in the industry, who can offer insight, advice, and feedback regarding the students’ business proposals
  • The five finalist teams will be announced Saturday evening during dinner

Day 5 Highlights:

Optional Boston Tours

  • With its rich history, grand architecture and world-renowned academic and cultural institutions, Boston retains and radiates the glory it has garnered over the last four centuries. Long considered the historical center for the American Revolution, Boston is now emerging as the new leader in business and technology
  • Participants will have the option of going on guided tours of famous attractions and destinations of Boston, such as the Quincy Market, Boston Commons, and Newbury Street

Business Plan Competition

  • On the last day, finalist teams will present their business plan in a 10 minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A session by a panel of judges consisting of U.S. Professors, businessmen, and other Chinese Entrepreneurs
  • The judges will then choose the best business idea, through the criterion of presentation quality, business plan feasibility, and fair display.  Exceptional and qualified teams business idea may receive funding to make their plan a reality
